Come capitale della Giordania, Amman è un'affascinante città di contrasti, un mix unico di antico e moderno, situata idealmente su una zona collinare tra il deserto e la fertile valle del Giordano. Giorno 2: Amman - Jerash - Ajloun - Amman e pernottamento
Emozionante visita guidata della spettacolare città greco-romana di Jerash e del castello dei crociati di Ajloun.
Oggi visiterai il Castello dei Crociati di Ajluon: la storia del Castello di Ajloun lo ha reso una delle attrazioni più importanti del Medio Oriente. Il castello fu costruito dal generale di Saladino nel 1184 d.C. per proteggere e controllare le miniere di ferro di Ajloun. Dominava le principali rotte dei Crociati nella valle del Giordano e proteggeva le rotte commerciali della Giordania. Il castello è un bell'esempio di architettura islamica e domina un ampio tratto della valle settentrionale del Giordano. Fu costruito a 1250 metri sopra la città, in cima a una collina. La vista dalla cima del castello è mozzafiato e, durante una giornata limpida, si può vedere fino al Mar Morto.
Successivamente, visiterai l'antica città greco-romana di Jerash: dopo aver visitato Ajloun, ci dirigiamo a est per visitare lo spettacolare sito dell'antica città greco-romana di Jerash. La guida ti accompagnerà attraverso questo sito incredibile e ti impressionerà con i fatti di Jerash. Questo sito ben conservato ha 2000 anni, ma le rovine sono in condizioni eccellenti. È stato nascosto per secoli nella sabbia prima di essere scavato e restaurato negli ultimi 70 anni. Jerash rivela un grande esempio dell'urbanizzazione romana estesa e formale che si può trovare in tutto il Medio Oriente. La città è composta da strade lastricate e colonnate, templi in cima alle colline, bellissimi teatri, spaziose piazze pubbliche, bagni, fontane e mura cittadine trafitte da torri e porte.

Giorno 3: Amman – Luogo del Battesimo – Mar Morto – Wadi Musa (Petra) e Pernottamento
Visita l'antico sito del battesimo di Giovanni Battista. Guida fino al punto più basso della terra e a Betania nel Mar Morto. Pernottamento a Petra.
Viaggio mattutino all'antico sito del battesimo di Giovanni Battista: dopo la colazione e il check-out, ci dirigeremo a ovest verso Amman, in direzione del Mar Morto. Prima di raggiungere il Mar Morto, ci fermeremo all'antico sito del battesimo di Giovanni Battista. Gesù venne per essere battezzato oltre 2000 anni fa da Giovanni ed è stato proprio in questo luogo che è stata fatta la storia e dove per secoli i cuori desiderosi della Grazia Divina hanno trovato indicibili benedizioni. Dopo essere andato perduto, il sito è stato recentemente scoperto e ora ospita ogni anno centinaia di migliaia di visitatori di tutte le diverse confessioni e fedi che cercano le benedizioni divine di questo luogo sacro.
Prosegui verso il Mar Morto: dopo un breve tragitto in auto dal sito del battesimo al Mar Morto, trascorrerai mezza giornata in spiaggia. Il Mar Morto è la più bassa elevazione sulla terraferma sulla superficie terrestre. La superficie e le rive sono a 422 metri (1.385 piedi) sotto il livello del mare e, per questo motivo, è il punto più basso della terra. Famoso per la sua salinità (oltre dieci volte quella del Mar Mediterraneo), si dice che il Mar Morto sia la sede del primo ritiro di salute. L'estremo contenuto di sale significa che nessuna vita può sopravvivere nel mare. Ti godrai un pomeriggio sulla spiaggia del Mar Morto e potrai galleggiare e goderti la terapia naturale strofinandoti con il fango del Mar Morto.

Giorno 4: Tour di Petra - Petra e pernottamento
Godetevi una visita guidata nello spettacolare sito di Petra.
Visit to Petra : After breakfast, your guide will escort you to the most exciting historical place in Jordan. Petra became one of the Seven Wonders of the World. It is a spectacular rose–stone city built by the Nabataens who carved palaces, tombs, temples and storerooms from the rocky cliffs. You will approach Petra through an incredible narrow long path called the Siq. The guide will point out different carvings that represent the culture of the Nabataens. At the end of the Siq, you will catch a glimpse of the amazing structure carved in the mountain until you stand in front of the beautiful treasury. As you continue through the site, other interesting sites include impressive rock-cut tombs, temples and the amphitheater.
You will explore the rest of the site at your own pace but there is a monument that should not be missed. Located on top of hill, on the far side of Petra, this site is a challenging but highly rewarding walk up the steps to the stunning Monastery (approx 1 hr) where you can appreciate the breath-taking views from the top of the cliff.
Please note a lot of walking is required to see all the sites and viewpoints of Petra. There is restaurant for lunch at the site and small cafes for drinks.
The remainder of your day is at leisure : After your amazing day visiting Petra, you will head back to the hotel where the remainder of your day is free. Reward yourself after long day with nice spa treat in one of the Turkish baths in Petra.

Day 5: Wadi Musa (Petra) - Little Petra –Wadi Rum 4x4 Tour - Wadi Rum & Overnight
Visit the site of Little Petra. Explore the footsteps of Lawrence of Arabia in Wadi Rum and sleep under the stars.
Short drive to Beidha and explore Little Petra : This morning after checkout, you will head to little Petra. Al Beidha or Little Petra, is only a few kilometres from Petra and it is literally hidden away in the center of a mountain. It is believed that Little Petra was an important suburb of Petra, the entry and exit point for the trade routes to the north and north-west. The site contains buildings that have been carved into the sandstone, used as residences, storages and tombs, with water channels and cisterns. The stone is whiter than the heavy rose color of Petra. The walk through this ancient city is breathtaking and helps remind us again of the capabilities and sense of community of these ancient peoples shared.
Enjoy the magnificent desert of WadiRum : After visiting Little Petra, you will continue to follow in the footsteps of Lawrence of Arabia and drive through the extraordinary scenery of Wadi Rum, one of the most beautigul sand dune deserts in the Middle East. This area of Jordan is quite isolated and the only inhabitants living in this area are the Bedouin people. It was home to T.E. Lawrence during the Arab Revolt against the Ottomans in World War I. You will spend the remainder of the day at Wadi Rum and stay overnight in a Bedouin Camp. Dinner will be included and is a wonderful part of desert camping experience.
4x4 Tour : The best way to explore the beauty of Wadi Rum desert is the jeep safari. Wadi Rum is full of beautiful rock formations and traces of ancient civilization carved in the mountains. The approximately 4 hour 4x4 tour, a definite trip highlight, will give you a chance to see some of the most beautiful and sublime desert scenery on the planet.

Day 6: Wadi Rum – Aqaba Free day - Aqaba & Overnight
Drive to Aqaba, Jordon’s only sea port city. The rest of the day is at your leisure.
Morning drive to Aqaba : After breakfast, we will continue our exploration of Jordan and drive to the Red Sea port of Aqaba. As the Red Sea resort for Jordan, it is a free zone area and major trading port. Aqaba is great gateway in winter for tourists and Jordanians alike. After arrival to Aqaba, you will check in at your hotel. The remainder of the day is at your leisure.
Free day to enjoy Aqaba : There are many ways that you could spend a beautiful day in Aqaba, which is famous for its beaches and nice snorkeling spots. There are many nice restaurants and cafe shops that serve local food. As Aqaba is the only free zone area in Jordan, you may think of shopping for some souvenirs and as a way to interact with the locals.

Day 7: Aqaba – Karak Castle - Madaba - Mount Nebo - Amman & Overnight
Drive back to Amman and visit to the Crusader Castle of Karak. Continue to Mt. Nebo and enjoy a spectacular view of the Promised Land.
Drive back to Amman : After breakfast, we will head back for our last night to Amman, the capital of Jordan. Along the way to Amman, we will stop and visit a few interesting and important sights from the history of Jordan.
Trip to the Crusader Castle of Karak : The first visit would be to the fort town of Kerak to visit the Castle of Karak. The castle was built by the orders of King Fulk, the crusader king of Jerusalem. Built on a hill to dominate the town, it was only in crusader hands for 46 years when Saladin’s army occupied the town, dominated the castle, converting it to Islam. The castle played an important role in protecting the caravan route and pilgrimage. The castle itself has been partially restored and has endless passageways and rooms. It is an impressive insight into the architectural military genius of the Crusaders.
Mt. Nebo: Dopo la nostra visita al castello di Karak, continuiamo il nostro viaggio su strada verso la città di Madaba. Prima di raggiungere la città desiderata, ci fermiamo per la nostra seconda spettacolare visita al Mt. Nebo, dove c'è una chiesa con mosaici ben conservati, situata in uno scenario meraviglioso. La parte più impressionante di questa visita è la vista mozzafiato dalla cima della montagna; il punto in cui Mosè guardò verso la terra promessa.
Madaba: la città storica di Madaba è famosa per le sue case in stile ottomano e per i bellissimi mosaici dell'era bizantina, tra cui la famosa mappa a mosaico del VI secolo di Gerusalemme e della Terra Santa nella chiesa di San Giorgio. Altri capolavori in mosaico trovati nella chiesa della Vergine e degli Apostoli e nel Museo archeologico raffigurano una profusione di fiori e piante, uccelli e pesci, animali e bestie esotiche, così come scene tratte dalla mitologia e dalle attività quotidiane come la caccia, la pesca e l'agricoltura. Se queste vi interessano, sarete felici di sapere che letteralmente centinaia di altri mosaici dal V al VII secolo sono sparsi nelle chiese e nelle case di Madaba.
