The Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority announced that it was decided, within the next few days, to reopen the South (Wadi Araba) crossing in front of the movement of foreign tourists coming to Aqaba, within the conditions and approved health procedures and in coordination with all relevant stakeholders, especially health.

The authority added that the maritime transport movement through the Arab Bridge Company will return to its usual activity of transport operations for both passengers and goods between the Aqaba-Nuweiba line and vice versa within the approved health requirements and procedures in coordination with the Ministry of Health.

It also indicated that the movement of goods transported by trucks will return to work between Jordan and Saudi Arabia, in one direction, across the borders of Durra as usual and within the approved and agreed upon health conditions and procedures.

The authority noted that these decisions will work to restore tourism, economic and commercial life in Aqaba, advance economic development and boost the national economy, and this matter needs to be accelerated from all governmental and private sectors to take vaccines against the Corona virus, so that Aqaba becomes a safe green zone from this epidemic.
