This agreement is between Jordan Horizons Tours (referred to as "JHT") and you, the user. In this agreement, “you” refers to any individual or entity using the services provided by JHT, including but not limited to account holders, users, members, customers, subscribers, or any party engaging with the services of JHT.
All necessary documents, including passport copies, passport list details, mobile/phone numbers, and any other required documents, must be provided as requested. Passport details for all guests are mandatory for tours starting from airports, land border crossings, or Aqaba Port. These details are necessary to prepare the visa manifest papers for our representatives at the airport/border crossings and to authorize our drivers to pick up guests from these locations.
Rest assured, all personal information is securely stored and will only be shared with employees of Jordan Horizons Tours. For more information, please refer to our Privacy Policy section.
For day tours, reservation requests will be accepted up to 48 hours before the tour commencement date. For overnight tours, reservation requests will be accepted up to 72 hours before the tour commencement date.
All prices for our tours are quoted in United States Dollars (USD) and are based on the prevailing tariffs at the time of printing. Jordan Horizons Tours (JHT) reserves the right to adjust the cost of the tour if necessary due to currency fluctuations or increases in costs (e.g., fuel rates). Once full payment has been received by JHT, no additional charges related to currency fluctuations will be applied.
Rates include the applicable service charge and sales tax at the time of booking. Any increases in service charges or sales tax will be applied to the quoted rates.
Please note, rates are subject to availability and may change without prior notice due to factors such as fuel price fluctuations. Rates may also be revised without notice if there are increases in entrance fees, guiding/guide fees, visa fees, departure taxes, VIP crossing fees, shuttle fees, hotel/camp rates, jeep tours, optional excursions, meals (restaurants), or any other items included in the itinerary.
Jordan Horizons Tours (JHT) reserves the right to apply a surcharge to the advertised rates for tours that fall during special or restricted periods, such as Christmas, New Year, Easter, Eid, and other similar events. These surcharges will be communicated to the client prior to finalizing the rate for the tour.
A single supplement is an additional charge imposed by hotels for a single traveler to stay in a room designed for double occupancy. The rates provided by Jordan Horizons Tours (JHT) are valid for Double, Twin, or Triple Occupancy. For single travelers or those wishing to have single occupancy in a room, a single supplement will be added to cover the cost of the single room.
The amount for the single supplement will vary depending on the hotel and its category. The exact supplement will be advised based on your specific hotel selection.
The single supplement will be advised according to the camp and category of camp/accommodation that is requested.
You may book your tour via email or through our website. The person making the booking must confirm acceptance of our booking conditions on behalf of all individuals named in the booking. You are responsible for ensuring that all personal details, flight information, and any other required information provided for yourself and other travelers are accurate.
Once your booking is confirmed, we will arrange the necessary services and send you a confirmation letter via email. It is your responsibility to regularly check your email, verify the details in the confirmation letter, and pay the required deposit.
Jordan Horizons Tours (JHT) reserves the right to amend the itinerary due to factors such as service requirements, road or weather conditions, or other unforeseen circumstances. If the change is significant, we will inform our customers in writing.
JHT cannot be held responsible for any services that cannot be provided due to circumstances beyond our control, including the unavailability of specific components of the tour. In such cases, refunds will be applied where applicable.
Your confirmation letter will include a copy of your final agreed itinerary along with all other relevant details for your tour. It is your responsibility to carefully review the confirmation letter and inform your tour consultant immediately if you notice any errors or inaccuracies.
Any request for amendments to your confirmed final itinerary must be submitted to us in writing. Please note that changes, particularly those made close to your arrival date or during the tour, may not always be feasible if they do not align with our operational procedures or available personnel. JHT reserves the right to charge a minimum fee of $50 USD for any amendments to the final itinerary. Any additional costs resulting from the changes will be added to the total.
Jordan Horizons Tours (JHT) does not include travel insurance as part of our tour packages. We highly recommend that you contact a travel insurance provider to secure coverage for the duration of your tour. While we do not offer insurance, we can refer you to insurance companies that provide travel insurance to protect passengers and their investment.
Unless specifically noted, travel insurance is not included in the cost of your itinerary and does not cover risks such as third-party supplier default/bankruptcy, delays, interruptions, missed connections (e.g., for cruises), cancellations, medical emergencies, transportation/evacuation & repatriation, baggage loss or delay, illness, job loss protection, accidental death, disability, travel medical expenses, and more.
Travel insurance is crucial for protecting yourself from financial loss in almost any circumstance. Without proper insurance, you understand and agree that if you cancel or interrupt your travel for any reason, portions of the trip may not be refunded, and cancellation penalties imposed by Jordan Horizons Tours and travel suppliers may apply, potentially resulting in the loss of the full cost of your travel booking and related expenses.
While purchasing travel insurance is not a requirement for booking any of our services, we strongly advise that you consider it. Jordan Horizons Tours is not a licensed insurance broker, and our staff is not authorized to answer detailed questions about policy benefits, exclusions, or coverage. Any travel insurance selected will incur an additional charge. Please note, Jordan Horizons Tours cannot guarantee that any insurance provider will approve coverage for a claim and makes no representations regarding the extent of coverage under any policy.
Jordan Horizons Tours (JHT) does not check accommodation availability until the booking form has been received. Once your booking form is received, our staff will send booking requests to the hotels according to your itinerary. If your preferred hotel or hotel category (star rating) is not available, your tour consultant will inform you and suggest alternative options.
Please note that JHT does not guarantee the availability of your preferred hotel or hotel category. Hotels typically have contracts with online booking platforms that provide a certain number of rooms. This may result in situations where rooms are available for online booking but are not accessible to us as travel agents due to the allocation being fully booked.
If you opt to book through an online platform, we can only offer the rate in accordance with our contract with the hotel, which may differ from the rate you find online.
Additionally, variations in room size, standard, and presentation may occur within the same hotel. This is beyond JHT’s control. While we will request room preferences and any special requests (e.g., twin beds, one large bed, view, higher floor, etc.) based on the details provided in your booking form, we cannot guarantee that these requests will be fulfilled.
For all Jordan Horizons Tours (JHT) packages, children over the age of 12 are considered adults and will be charged the full adult rate. It is essential to verify the children's policies directly with each hotel, as policies may vary. Some hotels allow one child to share the parent's room, while others may permit two children. Additionally, the age at which children are considered adults can differ between hotels.
Many hotels offer discounts for children, such as allowing them to stay at 50% of the adult price, but this is not consistent across all properties. Some hotels also offer 50% off meals for children, while others charge a flat rate for children's meals. Restrictions on access to leisure facilities for children may also apply.
Please inquire about the specific details regarding children's accommodation and meal policies at the time of booking. Note that children's accommodation and meals are generally not included in the quoted room rate.
When a child shares a room without an extra bed, there are no additional accommodation charges, but a meal supplement will be applied based on the hotel's policy.
If an extra bed is required, the room rate will be based on a TRIPLE ROOM.
Here is a general overview of the Children’s Policy for most hotels contracted with JHT:
Infants/Children 0 - 2.99 years old: Free of charge.
Children 3 - 5.99 years old (when sharing a parent's room with no extra bed): 35% of the adult rate.
Children 3 - 5.99 years old (when using an extra bed in the parent's room): 70% of the adult rate.
Children 6 - 11.99 years old (when sharing a parent's room with no extra bed): 35% of the adult rate.
Children 6 - 11.99 years old (when using an extra bed in the parent's room): 70% of the adult rate.
Children 12 years and above are considered adults and are charged at the full adult rate for both tours and hotel rooms.
Families with more than two children: Additional children must be accommodated in a separate room, according to the hotel’s policy.
Please note that the policies above may vary, and exact prices and details will be confirmed at the time of booking.
Our tour consultants are available during office hours only: Sunday to Thursday, from 09:30 to 17:30. For emergencies outside of these hours, we will provide you with a mobile contact number in Jordan, which you can reach seven days a week.
It is your responsibility to familiarize yourself with any applicable visa and health requirements prior to travel. You are solely accountable for obtaining all necessary entry, exit, health, and other documentation required by the laws, regulations, and directives of the countries you are visiting or transiting through.
Please be advised that JHT is not responsible for ensuring compliance with passport or visa requirements and will not be held liable for any losses or expenses incurred as a result of non-compliance.
We strongly recommend that your passport be valid for at least six months beyond your intended stay in Jordan.
Our pricing is based on current rates negotiated with hotels, transportation providers, and other service partners. These providers reserve the right to change their rates without prior notice. In the event of such changes, JHT reserves the right to adjust the quoted prices accordingly.
JHT is not liable for any delays, changes to the itinerary, or additional expenses incurred—directly or indirectly—due to natural disasters, flight cancellations, immigration procedures, accidents, equipment or transportation breakdowns, weather conditions, illness, landslides, political disruptions, or other unforeseen circumstances.
JHT shall not be held responsible for any loss, injury, or damage to individuals or property in connection with accommodations, transportation, or other services. This includes, but is not limited to, incidents arising from acts of God, fire, accidents, equipment failure, wars, civil unrest, strikes, riots, theft, epidemics, customs regulations, or any other causes beyond our control.
Please note that JHT does not provide insurance coverage for accidents, illness, theft, or any other unforeseen events. All personal belongings and baggage are carried at the client's own risk at all times.
JHT assumes no responsibility for the quality or cost of services and goods not included in the booked tour package, such as meals, personal purchases, or souvenirs.
JHT reserves the right to terminate this agreement at any time, with written notice, should the second party fail to comply with the stated terms and conditions.
The horse ride in Petra covers a distance of approximately 700 meters and is included in the entry ticket. Please note that this ride is not covered by insurance and is undertaken at the guest’s own risk. Additionally, horse handlers customarily expect a tip of approximately 3–5 Jordanian Dinars (JD) per horse.
If your itinerary includes transfers, a JHT driver will accompany you throughout your tour. Drivers are available in English, Spanish, Italian, or French, depending on the language agreed upon with your JHT sales representative.
Please note that while your driver will assist you during the journey, they are not licensed tour guides and cannot accompany you inside historical or archaeological sites. Their primary role is to provide safe and comfortable transportation between destinations, offering general assistance, local insights, and coordination for optional tours when needed.
Guided tours are typically included in Petra and Jerash. In Wadi Rum, you will be accompanied by a local Bedouin guide during the jeep experience. Local site guides are also available for hire at other locations, based on your preference.
Your driver is not available 24/7 but will be happy to advise on meal options, pick-up and drop-off times, and share general information about Jordan and its cultural traditions.
Local guides at Petra are assigned through the Visitor Center upon arrival at the site. As these guides are independent and not affiliated directly with our agency, we cannot guarantee the consistency or quality of their services.
While we make every effort to provide licensed guides who are known and trusted by our agency, during peak periods we may need to arrange a guide through the Petra Visitor Center. In such cases, as the guide is not personally selected by us, we are unable to ensure the same level of service.
Should you experience any issues or have concerns regarding a guide provided by the Petra Visitor Center, we kindly ask that you address your feedback directly with the Visitor Center at the end of your tour.
In accordance with the regulations set by the Wadi Rum Authority, all tour activities within the Wadi Rum Protected Area must be conducted by local Bedouin operators. This includes experiences such as 4WD jeep tours, camel and horse rides, hot air balloon flights, and any other activities offered within the protected area.
Please note that these services are operated independently by the local Bedouin community. As such, JHT cannot guarantee the quality, consistency, or safety standards of these locally provided services or activities.
The 4x4 vehicles used for tours within the Wadi Rum Protected Area are owned and operated by the local Bedouin associations. These vehicles are generally older models and are not equipped with air conditioning. Their condition may vary and may not meet the standards of modern tourist transportation.
As these are the only vehicles permitted for use within the protected area, we are obligated to utilize them for tours. We advise our clients in advance regarding the nature and condition of the vehicles to ensure transparency.
Participating in 4x4 tours in Wadi Rum also contributes directly to supporting the local Bedouin community and preserving the cultural heritage of the area.
If you are dissatisfied with any aspect of your tour or services provided, we encourage you to immediately inform your local guide or trip consultant. Most issues can be resolved promptly on the spot. If the matter remains unresolved, please escalate it to the General Director of the agency.
For formal complaints, you must notify the agency in writing within 15 days of the conclusion of your trip. Your written complaint should include a detailed explanation along with any supporting documentation or evidence.
Please note that JHT cannot be held responsible for any claims or complaints submitted after the 15-day period.
In the unlikely event that you are dissatisfied with your hotel accommodation, transportation, or any other service, please do not hesitate to contact our team. We take all feedback seriously and will consider it carefully to improve our services.
A minimum deposit of 25% is required at the time of booking for all tours. The remaining balance must be paid no later than 45 days prior to the commencement of your tour.

We expect all of our guests to adhere to the laws and regulations of the countries they visit. Failure to do so will release us from any further obligations to you. Additionally, we reserve the right to refuse service to potential customers or to terminate services for customers who fail to meet acceptable conduct standards.
This includes, but is not limited to, behavior that causes unnecessary disruption, insults, threats, abuse, or violence, as well as actions that damage property or put others in danger—whether in person, in writing, or over the phone. In such cases, we may terminate your travel arrangements without any liability on our part. No refunds will be issued, and we will not be responsible for any expenses or costs resulting from such termination.
You and/or your party may also be held financially responsible for any loss or damage caused by your actions. Full payment for any damages or losses must be made directly prior to departure.
In accordance with the rules and regulations set by the Visitor Centers at Petra, Jerash, and the Amman Citadel, the use of local guides is mandatory for all travel agency guests. This requirement is enforced at these sites, and therefore, it is compulsory to employ local guides during visits to Petra, Jerash, and Amman.
Please note that the cost for these local guides will be automatically included in your quotation.
In compliance with the rules and regulations of the Jordanian Government and the Ministry of Tourism, groups of 7 or more travelers traveling together in a single vehicle are required to have a licensed Jordanian Tourist Guide for the duration of their trip. This guide will be present to assist your group upon arrival in Jordan and will remain with the group until departure.
The guide can be arranged through a travel agency, which will also handle the necessary documentation, including a visa manifest. This manifest is stamped by the authorities upon your arrival in Jordan.
Additionally, as per local regulations, all groups of 7 or more travelers must be accompanied by a police escort throughout their tour in Jordan. This is a mandatory requirement. Any group traveling without both a licensed guide and police escort will be in violation of the rules and regulations.
When visiting Jordan, the question of whether to hire a guide depends on your travel style and preferences. Here are the key considerations:
Benefits of Hiring a Guide
Expert Knowledge: Guides provide historical context and cultural insights, enhancing your experience.
Language Assistance: They help with local language nuances, making interactions smoother.
Ease of Navigation: Guides handle logistics, ensuring you maximize your time and avoid stress.
Safety and Comfort: Especially in remote areas, a guide ensures your safety and manages any unexpected situations.
Advantages of Going Solo
Flexibility: Travel independently for more control over your itinerary.
Cost Savings: Skip the added cost of a guide, tailoring your budget as you choose.
Personal Connection: Experience authentic interactions with locals and explore at your own pace.
Conclusion
Whether you choose to hire a guide or go solo depends on your preferences. If you value convenience and expertise, a guide is ideal. If you prefer flexibility and personal exploration, traveling solo is a great choice. For a balanced experience, consider hiring a guide for major sites like Petra and Wadi Rum while exploring smaller areas independently.
Booking last-minute can be exciting, but it also comes with challenges. Availability of services may be limited, and the quality of options might be compromised. Many preferred accommodations, tours, and activities tend to sell out quickly, leaving fewer choices and potentially affecting your overall experience.
While we will strive to accommodate your preferences, last-minute reservations may make it harder to secure the most sought-after services. Planning ahead not only guarantees better options but also ensures a smoother, more enjoyable travel experience.
Any special requests, such as dietary requirements, room location, room type (e.g., twin/double), or specific hotel amenities (e.g., swimming pool, gym), must be communicated to Jordan Horizons Tours & Travel at the time of booking. These requests should also be confirmed in writing.
While we will make every effort to accommodate your reasonable requests, we cannot guarantee their fulfillment. Please note that the inclusion of a special request in your confirmation itinerary or any other documentation, or its communication to the supplier, does not guarantee that the request will be met. Failure to fulfill any special request will not be considered a breach of contract by Jordan Horizons Tours & Travel, and we do not accept bookings that are conditional upon the fulfillment of special requests.
Departure and arrival times are approximate and subject to change. We disclaim any liability for modifications, cancellations, or delays in your transportation to, from, or within Jordan. We are not responsible for changes due to weather conditions, rescheduling by transport suppliers, actions by airlines or airports, air traffic control decisions, mechanical issues, industrial actions, or other factors beyond our control.
If your flight is canceled, delayed, downgraded, or you are denied boarding, you may be entitled to compensation, a refund, accommodation, and refreshments under EC Regulation No 261/2004 (Denied Boarding Regulations 2004). It is your responsibility to contact the airline directly for compensation or other payments.
If you or any member of your party misses a flight, transport arrangement, or faces a delay exceeding 3 hours, you must contact us, the airline, and your insurer immediately. A flight delay or cancellation does not automatically cancel other related travel arrangements.
The carriers, flight timings, and aircraft types presented in our promotional materials or your confirmation invoice are for guidance purposes only. Our advertising materials do not bind the airlines mentioned or any airline used during your travel.
If you decide to curtail your holiday and return home early without reasonable cause for complaint, no refund will be provided for the uncompleted portion of your tour, nor will we cover any associated costs. Travel insurance may cover curtailment; you are responsible for contacting your insurer and obtaining necessary receipts for your claim.
