We often get asked by guests regarding one of the items listed below; we have gathered a bunch of the FAQs and listed them here for you below :
Is the driver / guide able to join us during our visit?
Your drivers is not a guuide. You will be accompanied on your tour by an English Speaking Driver. Whist not an official licensed Ministry of Tourism guide, your driver is extremely knowledgeable about the area and its history, and is able to point out sites of interest and provide you with information as you travel. Your driver will assist you during your tour but is unable to enter the sites with you. At the sites that we haven't included a guide there are local guides available should you want to hire one at your own expense. The sites that we haven't included a spot guide are easy to explore by yourself. Your driver transfers you according to your itinerary (destination to destination). He is not at your disposal 24/7.
Please ask us if you would prefer to be accompanied for your entire tour by a licensed tour guide.
Can I get a different language speaking guide i.e. (Other than English)?
Tours guides are available in Jordan who speak Spanish, Portuguese, German, French, Japanese, Russian and other some other languages. Please note that these guides, either for the full tour, or as a spot guide in Petra (and some other sites) are limited and subject to availability. Because those local guides are assigned on a turn basis, we can't guarantee their availability especially in peak season times.
The Local guides (who are at the visitor’s center of Petra & Jerash sites) are assigned at the visitor's center of the site and are employees of the Jordanian Ministry of Tourism. Travel Agencies cannot guarantee the quality of their services.
*We endeavour to utilise the guiding services of a licensed guide who is known to our agency. During peak times we might provide you with a guide from the Petra / Jerash Visitors centre. As these guides are not known to our agency we can not guarantee the level of their service. Any complaints about problems encountered with the guides from the Petra / jerash Visitors centre should be directed to the Petra / Jerash Visitors Centre directly at the conclusion of your guided tour.
For Wadi Rum there isn’t the option to have a Bedouin driver who speaks a language other than English or Arabic.
Why are there rooms available to book online but you have advised me that the hotel is fully booked?
Hotels have contracts with the online booking platforms to provide a certain amount of rooms. This can mean there are times when there are rooms available online to book, but we as travel agents are unable to book a room at the hotel due to the allocation for direct bookings and travel agencies being full. If you choose to book through an online platform we can only deduct the rate which is as per our contract with the hotel and not the rate that you book the room at online.
If I book the hotel online will you deduct the rate offered online from my tour rate?
We have contracts with all the hotels that we offer for overnight stays. These contracts provide us with an agents rate which is fixed. Our rates will differ to the rates that you can find through online booking platforms. The rates for the online booking platforms are set by the hotels and vary according to season and supply and demand.
There are times when the online rates are cheaper than our contracted rates due to specials that the hotels will offer. We cannot match any rates offered through online booking platforms and recommend that if you find a cheaper rate that you book the hotel yourself. We will deduct the contract rate of the overnight stay from your tour rate.
In times of peak demand it can mean that the rates offered online are more expensive than the rates we offer. If we have advised you that the hotel is fully booked for the travel agents allocation and there is rooms available online and you decide to book at the more expensive rate we will only deduct the contract rate for the overnight stay from your tour rate.
What is the Single Room Supplement?
A single supplement is an additional sum of money that a hotel charges for one person to stay in a room meant for two people.
The rates that we quote for our tours are valid for Double/Twin/Triple Occupancy. For a single traveler or people wanting to have single occupancy in a room a single supplement will be added to cover the cost of the single room.
Please ask us to advise the single room supplement if you would like this.
What currencies are the Tour Rates quoted in and what currencies do you accept for payment?
