Wadi Rum Camps

Tent Standards vs. Stargazing Tents vs. Bedouin Camps

If you are staying for one night in Wadi Rum, you should know that at Luxury Camps there are 02 types of tents: standard tents and stargazing tents. An additional fee may apply if you wish to stay in stargazing tents:

Standard A Luxury Tents (Standard Bedouin Style Tents):

The standard tent is the best choice for guests looking for accommodation that combines distinctive Bedouin style with traditional, simple comfort.

B-Star Gazing Tents - Those types of tents are also available in the same camps that the luxury camps have (in addition to the standard luxury tents), but they are upgraded tents from the standard luxury tents, there are upgrade options available for those tents, combining modern lifestyle and comfort while still living the authentic desert experience. These tents offer you the chance to sleep under a starlit sky in beautifully decorated bubble rooms with endless views of the stunning desert landscape of Wadi Rum.

C- Bedouin Camps: There are hundreds of camps to choose from in Wadi Rum, experience living in the desert and enjoy the simple Bedouin life. Bedouins live in wool tents, called black tents. Goat and camel herding is part of traditional Bedouin culture. Goats and camels follow the Bedouins through the desert and provide them with milk, meat and wool. In a traditional Bedouin camp in the Wadi Rum desert, tents are kept cosy by a wood fire.

Bedouin camps are located in the heart of the desert. They are an eco-camp offering a traditional and real Bedouin experience. They have private or shared bathrooms, equipped with mattresses, blankets and pillows. The camps have easy access to the main archaeological sites. Desert buggies, camel rides and jeep safaris can be arranged... After a day, guests can enjoy a traditional Bedouin meal by the campfire or in the communal tent, and enjoy traditional Bedouin cuisine served at the camp. Guests are invited to help the staff prepare a traditional meal according to local traditions. You can also relax by the campfire in the evening. Traditional Bedouin food cooked at the camp is: Zarb (which is cooked under the sand), Bedouin BBQ, also Mansaf, Maqloba, vegan and vegetarian options... Tea, coffee and other hot drinks are provided throughout the day.
