Day 1: Jerusalem - Wadi Rum & Overnight
At 7:30am (suggested time) you will be collected from your location in Jerusalem and transferred to Allenby Bridge/King Hussein Border Crossing. You will be transferred approximately 3 hours to Wadi Rum, one of the most impressive desert landscapes in the world. Explore the wilderness of the desert on a 04 - 05-hour 4x4 tour, climbing sand dunes, seeing ancient inscriptions and towering rock bridges. You will stay overnight at a Bedouin camp with dinner and breakfast.
Day 2: Wadi Rum - Petra –Jerusalem (Other locations on request)
On the second day you will visit Petra, one of the new seven wonders of the world. Carved into the red rocks of the desert cliffs thousands of years ago by the ancient Nabataean people, Petra was hidden under sand for centuries before recently becoming accessible again. You will be transferred from Wadi Rum to Petra after breakfast. You will tour through the treasury, amphitheatre, royal tombs, a monastery and much more, walk in the tracks of Lawrence of Arabia and India Jones, and discover why Petra was named “the rose-red city half the age of time”.
Depart Petra by 3:00pm and return to King Hussein / Allenby Bridge, and then on to Jerusalem where you will be dropped off at your destination (other locations on request, supplement applies).
Please note that on Fridays and Saturdays the King Hussein/Allenby Bridge closes at 1:00pm. Departure can be via the Jordan River / Northern Border crossing (supplement applies).
