A Hidden Gem for Adventurers After an early breakfast, depart around 8:00–9:00 AM toward Al-Mansoura (approx. 2.5 hrs). Here, hikers meet their local guide and begin an unforgettable trek through Wadi Ghweir — a breathtaking canyon resembling the famous Siq of Petra. The hike (approx. 16–18 km, Grade: Difficult) takes about 6 hours for experienced hikers, following the gravel riverbed alongside a stream through towering sandstone formations and lush vegetation.
Pause for tea midway, where your guide will share insights about the area’s geology and history. Continue toward the Byzantine ruins of Khirbet Feynan, ending at the award-winning Feynan Ecolodge, an oasis of sustainability and tranquility.
(Note: This trail may close in case of rainfall due to flash-flood risk.) For non-hikers, transfer by road (approx. 1.5–2 hrs), then by local pickup truck to the lodge. Upon arrival, you may relax or join one of the ecolodge’s enriching activities (see calendar: https://ecohotels.me/feynan/calendar). Meals: Breakfast, Dinner
