A Glimpse about Thakafat:
Thakafat has connected many guests of Jordan with local families and plans to continue to do so across Jordan. In Petra they have arranged to host Royalties who joined those families and expanded the dream of experiential travel.
“Unveiling the Heartbeat of Jordan: Thakafat – A place where tradition gracefully dances alongside modernity, and resilient women take the lead. Come join our cultural journey, where we’re rewriting the rules, embracing diversity, and sharing stories that echo through the captivating landscapes of Petra, Aqaba, Wadi Rum, As-Salt, and Ajloun!”
THAKAFAT
Embraced by the spellbinding scenery of Jordan, Thakafat (Cultures) unfolds as a captivating symphony of cultural richness, thoughtfully curated by a devoted group of local women. Beyond a simple project, it stands as a tribute to the depth of Jordanian identity, where resilience, warmth, and cultural charm seamlessly blend. As we navigate the present, Thakafat stands on the brink of an exciting future, ready to share its vibrant tales across Salt, Madaba, Ajloun, and Aqaba.
Concept
Thakafat is more than a plan; it’s an exploration into the heart of Jordan. Led mostly by women, it’s a blend of tradition and modernity, creating part-time opportunities in underserved areas. Several projects within Thakafat showcase the incredible capabilities of women — a celebration of their strength, resilience, and creativity in reshaping norms. Thakafat is a mosaic of cultural notes, an online space where tourism, empowerment, and culture joyfully dance, and now, it’s gearing up for an even more vibrant narrative.
Thakafat holds bold aspirations, going beyond the ordinary. It’s not just about cultural enrichment; it signifies a crescendo of empowerment and unity. As Thakafat envisions expansion, it dreams of creating a symphony resonating not just in Petra but echoing through the streets of Salt, the history of Madaba, the greenery of Ajloun, and the coastal charm of Aqaba.
Vision for Expansion
Wow Factor
What sets Thakafat apart is the WOW factor! It’s not just about expansion; it’s a revolution in cultural engagement. Envision immersive experiences where visitors do not just watch; they become integral performers in this cultural spectacle. From crafting traditional crafts in Salt to participating in the art of mosaic-making in Madaba, from nature retreats in Ajloun to beach parties in Aqaba — Thakafat does not just talk about culture; it invites everyone to join the celebration.
Thakafat Impact
As Thakafat extends its influence into Salt, Madaba, Ajloun, and Aqaba, it goes beyond mere expansion; it is crafting a cultural carnival resonating far beyond the borders of Jordan. The WOW factor lies in the audacity to dream bigger, the courage to create experiences that feel extraordinary, and the unwavering commitment to transforming every interaction into a symphony of wonder. Moreover, Thakafat takes pride in its impact on local communities. All the groceries and supplies needed for our projects are sourced from local small shops and charitable associations’ businesses like bakeries and pastries. This deliberate choice not only ensures the authenticity of our cultural experiences but also contributes to the sustainability and growth of these local enterprises.
This expansion, coupled with Esraa Kitchen’s culinary finesse and the immersive experiences at the Cultural Hub, exemplifies Thakafat’s profound impact on cultural preservation, women’s empowerment, and community engagement. It aligns seamlessly with Her Majesty Queen Rania’s vision, contributing not just to the tapestry of Jordan’s cultural heritage but orchestrating a global masterpiece.
