Drones regulation in Jordan

Jordan only permits the use of drones when authorised by/for one of the following entities for a prupose:

- The Royal Film Commission Jordan
- Jordan Tourism Board
- For diplomats
- Official work (usually government institutions)
- If you apply in advance through the Jordanian Civil Aviation & Ministry of Interior, please check below (Update July 2022 ) , check : UAS Laws – General rules for flying drones in Jordan below ***

It is otherwise illegal to own/carry or use drones anywhere in Jordan without the relevant paper work indicated above. A financial penalty will be imposed upon any unauthorised users.

For clients coming into Jordan with a drone, please make them aware that the authorities ask drone owners to submit a fee of no less than (500 JOD) and seal the package in which the drone is placed, on departure, once they present the package sealed, as proof it's not been used, they get refunded the amount they paid. This is a sort of insurance that it will not be used as it is completely forbidden.

They additionally have to inform them their time and point of departure (presuming they were using 2 different entry/exit points).
