Tour Itinerary :

Pick up from Jerusalem ((We can pick you up from Tel Aviv instead of Jerusalem at extra charges , please let us know ) : Your driver will meet you in the lobby of your hotel in Jerusalem and transfer you to the Allenby Bridge Border crossing. You will complete the Israel side of the border crossing including the shuttle bus by yourself. When you arrive to the Jordanian side your driver will be waiting for you with a sign with your name on it. The driver will assist you with all the necessary paperwork to get your visa on arrival to Jordan (Paid Vosa). Wadi Rum  4-5 hrs (4x4)Tour and then Overnight:  You will be transferred  to Wadi Rum.. Enjoy the wilderness adventure of a 4x4 tour of Wadi Rum, following in the footsteps of Lawrence of Arabia, climbing sand dunes and rock bridges. Start the 04-05 Hours 4x4 tour . The sites you are going to visit are :  Nabatean Temple – Aretas (IV): Used by Nabatean to worship ALLAT (Goddes). This temple was built on the ruins of Allat temple of the AAD TRIBE.  Lawrence’s spring: where Lawrence of Arabia reputedly washed during the Arab Revolt. Has an attractive rock inscriptions on nearby rocks.  Sand dunes: large area of sand dunes piled up against the mountains. Fun to climb to the top. Have desert-adapted plants . Khazali canyon: deep, narrow fissure in the mountain side, containing many rock inscriptions. Little bridge : one of the most popular rock bridges in Wadi Rum desert is named for its size. The Um Fruth rock bridge is one of the most photographed places in Wadi Rum. The bridge is about 15 meters up from the desert floor. Lawrence’s House in Wadi Rum is called so because TE Lawrence reportedly slept here during his time in the desert. But actually the place has a much older history than its namesake. Burdah Rock Bridge/Burdah Arch : This natural rock arch is the largest and most impressive rock arch found in our Protected Area.  You will enjoy a box lunch/cocked Bedouin lunch during the tour. Marvel at the sunset and gaze at the stars in the night sky whilst enjoying the legendary hospitality of the Bedouin, before sleeping at the foot of the awesome mountains exploding out from the desert landscape.

Day No.  2 / ( ) : Wadi Rum - Petra Tour - Allenby - Jerusalem

Tour Itinerary :

Breakfast and sunrise , then leave to Petra .

Today, visit Petra . This fascinating ancient Nabatean capital dominated for a long time the Arabian trade routes, and is a must see in the Middle East. Walk through the 1.2km long Siq (chasm), passing shrines, tombs and carvings, to reach the lost city of Petra. See the magnificent Treasury as you exit the Siq, explore the Street of Facades, Roman Theatre, Colonnaded Street and Qasr Bint. You will then have free time to explore further on your own too . There are still plenty of places to see such as the Byzantine Church, Temple of the Winged Lion’s and you might like to climb the 800 steps to the Monastery or the shorter climb to the top of the High Place of Sacrifice.

Drive to Allenby Border and Drop you off at the Jordan side to cross to Israel, where you will find our driver at the Israeli side waiting for you to transfer  you to Jerusalem where  the  tour ends there, Good Bye !

Camel Riding in Petra & Wadi Rum, Camel riding is a traditional way of moving for Bedouin. It is a very quiet and leisurely way for you to discover our desert. You will feel like you are being transported back in time. The trip with your local Bedouin will be just the duration you need, from one hour up to four or five days including sleeping under the stars with 4x4 vehicle assistance if needed. Camel Ride in Wadi Rum & Petra is optional for 15 JD / $ 21 USD per camel per hour. You do not need to book it in advance and can be arranged upon arrival to Petra or Wadi Rum.

Hot Air Balloon Ride Wadi Rum,Take a bird's eye view of the beautiful scenery of the majestic mountains in Wadi Rum by climbing into a hot air balloon. Be it an indulgence for yourself or a surprise gift for a loved one, a hot air balloon ride is a unique experience. Balloon flights take place during the early morning hours and last for around one hour, but guests should allow 2 to 3 hours for the whole experience. Balloon Ride and tour in Wadi Rum for 01 hour is available from the early morning (06:00 am – 07:00 am) for 130 JD / $ 185 USD per person. (Booking should be in advance). The Bedouin Camps (Echo/Traditional Bedouin Camps), How are they look like?

There are hundreds of camps to choose from in Wadi Rum., experience of living in the desert and enjoying the simple Bedouin life.

The Bedouin live in woolen tents, called Black tents. Herding goats and camels are a part of the traditional Bedouin culture. The goats and camels follow the Bedouin through the desert and provide them with milk, meat and wool. At a traditional Bedouin camp in the Wadi Rum desert, tented seating is kept cozy with a wood-burning fire.

Bedouin camps are located at the heart of the desert. They are an eco-friendly camp offer a traditional & real Bedouin experience. They have either shared or private bathrooms, equipped with mattresses, blankets and pillows. The camps are easy access to major archaeological sites. Desert buggies, camel rides, and jeep safaris can be arranged … After a day out, guests can enjoy a traditional Bedouin meal by the campfire or in the communal tent, guests can enjoy the traditional Bedouin cuisine served at the camp. Guests are invited to help staff prepare a traditional meal according to local traditions. Aslo, you can relax by the camp fire in the evening. The traditional Bedouin meal cooked in the camp are : Zarb ( which is cooked under the sand ) , the Bedouin barbeque , Also Mansaf, Maqloba vegan and vegetarian options ... 4x4 jeeps in Wadi Rum & Services provided in Wadi Rum

4x4s in Wadi Rum are old vehicles (no A/C) and belong to the local Bedouin association. The vehicles in Wadi Rum are owned by the local Bedouin associations and are in a poor state. Given that we don't have any other choice when it comes to transportation in Wadi Rum, we can only advise our clients about their state. Jeep tours in Wadi Rum are to support the local community of Wadi Rum Protected Area and Natural Reserve. As per the regulations of the Wadi Rum Authority tour activities must be handled by the Bedouin of Wadi Rum, using the their 4WD vehicles, camels, horse riding and hot air balloon or any other activities that takes place within Wadi Rum Protected Area. JHT cannot guarantee the quality of the services provided by local Bedouin serving such services or activities (Jeep Tour’s Bedouin driver/guide).
