Day 1: Amman Airport – Amman & Overnight
Arrival to Amman Airport. Our representative will meet and assist you before customs for your free visa on arrival to Jordan. You will be taken to meet your driver and transferred to your hotel in Amman. Check in and the rest of the day is free.

Day 2: Amman - Jerash - Anjara - Tell Mar Elias - Umm Qais – Amman & Overnight
Travel to Jerash, one of the best preserved provincial cities of Roman times. View theatres, temples, churches, a nymphaeum, market and colonnaded streets. Proceed to Anjara to visit the Shrine of the Lady of the Mountain at the Roman Catholic Church. Visit Tell Mar Elias which has long been identified with Tishbe, mentioned in the Bible as the hometown or region of the Prophet Elijah, then north to visit the town of Umm Qais (Gadara), where, according to the Bible, Jesus cast out the devil from two men into a herd of pigs. The basalt basilica is believed to have been built at the exact place the miracle occurred.

Day 3: Amman - Madaba - Mt. Nebo - Umm Ar-Rasas – Petra & Overnight
Drive to Madaba to see the famous mosaic map of the Holy Lands, discovered during renovations of the 6th Century St George Church. A short distance away is Mt. Nebo, mentioned many times in the Bible when Prophet Moses went up from the Plain of Moab to the Mount of Nebo where God showed Moses the Holy land. From the top view the Jordan Valley, Dead Sea, Jericho, and the Mountains of Jerusalem. We then drive to Umm Ar-Rasas located in a once lush fertile terrain. At the church of St Stephen see the beautiful mosaic floors.

Day 4: Petra – Petra Tour – Petra & Overnight
Following breakfast meet with your English speaking guide for a 2.5 hour tour of the rose-red city of Petra. Walk the mile-long Siq (chasm) passing shrines, tombs and carvings before exiting to the breathtaking sight of the Treasury. Walk the Street of Facades, passing the Roman Theatre to reach the Royal Tombs. Spend the rest of the day exploring more of the city or climb to the Monastery and/or High Place of Sacrifice. Make your own way back to your hotel via the Siq.

Day 5: Petra – Lots Cave – Dead Sea – Baptism Site – Amman (for drop off)
From Petra you will travel over the mountains and into the Dead Sea Valley. First stop is Lots’s Cave where he lived with his two daughters after fleeing the wicked cities of Soddom and Gomorrah. Travelling along the Dead Sea highway you will have a short stop to view the pillar that is referred to as Lot’s wife. Check into a day resort at the Dead Sea and experience the unique sensation of floating in the salty waters. Have lunch at the day resort. A short drive to the Baptism site of Bethany beyond the Jordan where John the Baptist is said to have baptized Jesus. You will be transferred to Amman for drop off and end of the tour.
