Jordan Tourism Sees Strong Growth in Q1 2025: Key Highlights from the Economic Modernization Vision Report

Amman – The first quarterly report of 2025 from the Economic Modernization Vision 2023–2025 Executive Program, under the theme "Jordan as a Global Destination," highlights significant achievements and ongoing developments in the Kingdom’s tourism sector.

According to the report, Jordan welcomed approximately 1.508 million international visitors in the first quarter of 2025. Tourism revenues for January and February alone totaled an impressive JOD 1.217 billion, underscoring the sector’s strong performance and growing global appeal.

Key milestones noted in the report include strategic efforts to strengthen Jordan’s connectivity with targeted international markets. These efforts have led to the signing of new agreements aimed at expanding direct air links, particularly with Europe. As a result, the number of low-cost airlines operating direct routes to Jordan has increased to 25 carriers in 2025.

During the summer season, 20 low-cost routes will serve Amman, while five routes will operate to Aqaba. For the winter season, six direct routes will continue to serve Amman. These developments are expected to bring in around 270,000 passengers throughout 2025.
