The city centre witnessed a large and remarkable presence of foreign tourist groups in the downtown areas of Amman, wandering comfortably and happily between the tourist attractions and heritage markets spread in old Amman.
The visits of the tourist groups include many archaeological sites in the city centre, most notably the Roman Amphitheatre, the Museum of Popular Life, the facilities of the amphitheatre and its theatres, in addition to the Nymphs' Fountain on Quraish Street and the ancient Citadel Mountain overlooking the city, which includes many rare antiquities and a museum containing many historical collections.
The tours of foreign tourists also include visiting the most prominent religious landmarks in Amman, the Grand Husseini Mosque, the heritage markets on Talal Street, the popular vegetable markets, as well as the Duke's House on Faisal Street, the King Hussein Street Cultural Complex, and the Amman Arms Museum on King Hussein Street.
During the walking tours, the tourist groups stop at the "Hassan Abu Ali" Arab Culture Kiosk on Faisal Street and buy books and publications that talk about tourism in Jordan and take souvenir photos while eating Jordanian Kunafa in the open air and buy coffee and thyme from the Homsi store on Al-Rida Street and take souvenir photos of the traditional coffee roaster that has been operating in the store since 1947.
