Jordan Chairs UNWTO Executive Committee Meeting in Spain, Strengthening Its Global Tourism Role
Jordan recently chaired and moderated the Executive Committee meeting of the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) in Spain—an acknowledgment of the Kingdom’s active and ongoing efforts in shaping global tourism policy and sustainability.
According to the Jordan Tourism Board (JTB), Jordan's leadership in this high-level meeting highlights its commitment to supporting UNWTO initiatives and promoting international cooperation in sustainable tourism development.
The session addressed several key topics, including the growing role of affiliate members in the global tourism industry, strategies to boost public-private partnerships, and the need to embrace innovation and digital transformation to enhance tourism experiences worldwide.
Dr. Abdul Razzaq Arabiyat, Director General of the Jordan Tourism Board, commented:
