Jordan has granted nearly 270,000 e-visas since the beginning of this year to date, for all nationalities, according to an official at the Ministry of Interior.
The official said in a press statement that the Ministry of Interior is constantly working to review its decisions to ensure providing more facilities for visitors to Jordan and those coming for investment, tourism or treatment purposes, and to serve the supreme national interests, especially the economic interest and strengthening the national economy, with the ministry focusing, with its new approach, on achieving the concept of comprehensive national security, including economic security, and taking measures that ensure harmony between security and economic interests.
He stressed that the Ministry of Interior has allowed the treatment of citizens of Arab countries whose citizens still require prior approval to enter the Kingdom from residents in other countries, as citizens of those countries. As for foreign nationals residing for a period of not less than 6 months in the Gulf Cooperation Council countries - European countries - Canada - Australia - Japan - the United States - the United Kingdom - South Korea - Switzerland and the Scandinavian countries, they can enter Jordan without the need for prior approval from the Ministry of Interior. Jordan also allowed the entry of holders of American visas and Schengen visas without the need for prior approval from the Ministry of Interior, provided that the visa is valid for a period of not less than 6 months. Female patients of all ages, males under 15 years old, men over 50 years old, and 3 companions for each patient from the nationals of Syria, Iraq, Yemen, Libya, Chad, and Ethiopia were also allowed to enter without the need for prior approval.
