This is the most frequently used border crossing by Palestinians and the closest for tourists traveling from Jerusalem into Jordan.
While Jordanians do not consider this crossing an official international border (as it enters the West Bank), tourists can still enter Jordan using a single-entry visa obtained at the airport, as long as they depart and return via this crossing.
If entering on a group manifest, departure and re-entry via Allenby Bridge must be clearly stated, otherwise, a visa fee will apply. See details below.
Sunday to Thursday: 08:00 – 24:00

Normally, visas on arrival are not available at the Allenby Bridge. However, Jordan Horizons Tours offers an exclusive Meet & Assist service, which allows our guests to receive a visa on arrival.
If staying 2 or more consecutive nights in Jordan, you may qualify for a free visa.
We handle all paperwork in advance, including your:
Passport and personal details
Accommodation and itinerary
Driver and vehicle information
This information is submitted via a special “manifest” form, which authorizes our team to meet and assist you upon arrival.
Without this service, travelers must arrange their Jordan visa in advance, as visas are not issued on arrival at this border otherwise.

Three different buses operate: for tourists, Jerusalem residents, and West Bank Palestinians—confirm you’re on the correct one.
Jordanian police will collect your passport and pass it to immigration.
Pay the shuttle fee onboard.
Upon arrival, your passport will be returned to you.
Your guide or driver (if booked through us) will meet you and assist with the visa and immigration process.

Yes! We can organize private transportation from Jerusalem or Tel Aviv.
Note: Private transfers in Israel can be costly. Contact us for up-to-date rates.
Licensed transport companies with pre-approved vehicles can enter the “no man’s land” between the Israeli and Jordanian terminals (approx. 5 km), avoiding the need to use the public shuttle.
Your group completes departure at the Israeli terminal
Your driver meets you and drives you directly to the Jordanian side
Your guide will be waiting at the Jordanian terminal to assist with the visa process
If you entered Jordan via Queen Alia International Airport, you will have a visible entry stamp. If you then exit into Israel via the Allenby Bridge and do not return to Jordan, it may appear that you left Jordan unofficially.
To avoid this, you can request your Jordanian visa on a separate sheet of paper at the airport. While not guaranteed, this may help avoid issues with immigration officials.
Israeli authorities typically do stamp passports at this crossing.
You may politely request that they do not stamp your passport. If approved, you'll receive an entry/exit slip instead. It’s not guaranteed, but generally respected if requested clearly.
