Rasoun stands out as a rural model that combines the authenticity of the land with human development. Its development journey began with agriculture and has expanded to include ecotourism and heritage tourism, making it a destination for visitors seeking a different experience that blends nature with the lives of its people.
Rasoun is administratively part of the Arjan district in the Ajloun Governorate and lies within one of the most important tourist routes in Jordan: the Rasoun Trail. This long-distance trail connects several areas of the governorate, passing through dense forests, natural valleys, and historical sites, making it a unique experience that combines hiking, exploration, and an understanding of rural life.

Rasoun is an area rich in natural resources, where its residents rely primarily on agriculture as their main source of income, benefiting from abundant water and fertile land. The town is renowned for cultivating a number of crops, most notably ancient olives and figs, as well as aromatic plants. Farmers rely on rain-fed agriculture, depending on rainfall and natural springs. The presence of these springs significantly contributes to agricultural activity by providing natural water sources for irrigating the trees, thus enhancing crop quality and sustainability.
In recent years, the town has witnessed remarkable development in the tourism sector, becoming part of established tourist routes linked to local communities.
A number of residents have opened their homes to visitors, contributing to the promotion of community-based tourism and transforming the town into a tourist destination attracting visitors from within the Kingdom and abroad. This is especially true given the availability of diverse facilities such as chalets, tourist tents, and mountain climbing activities, allowing visitors to enjoy the stunning natural surroundings.

The camp aims to extend tourists' stays in the Ajloun Governorate by providing comprehensive services, including accommodation in well-equipped cabins, food and drinks, and comfortable seating amidst nature.
He explained that the camp offers a variety of tourist activities, including rappelling up to 20 meters, tightrope walking, and a 100-meter zip line, providing visitors with an exciting and thrilling experience.
Mohammed Al-Shara, head of the Rasoun Folk Heritage Museum, emphasized that the museum serves as a true window into the region's history and cultural identity, combining tangible and intangible heritage and documenting the lives of ancestors with their customs and traditions.
He explained that the museum houses a wide range of artifacts, including historical documents dating back to the Ottoman era, traditional farming tools, antique cooking utensils, folk costumes, musical instruments, as well as communication and lighting equipment, copperware, and handicrafts that were used in the daily lives of the region's inhabitants.

Al-Shara affirmed that these efforts contribute to preserving the cultural heritage and introducing it to new generations, in addition to supporting tourism in the town.
