Day 3: Little Petra - PetraAfter breakfast, embark on a scenic hike that leads you into Petra through the lesser-known “Back Door.” This trail takes you through Wadi Ghurab, a hidden path surrounded by majestic sandstone cliffs. You’ll stay at well-located, comfortable 3/4-star hotels in Amman and Petra, and authentic Bedouin-style camps in Little Petra and Wadi Rum. These camps provide a “glamping” experience with cozy tents, beds, and bedding, as well as shared bathroom facilities (without AC or heaters).
This adventure is physically demanding, rated as slightly above moderate difficulty. The average daily hike distance is 10-12 km with varied terrain, including some short, steep ascents/descents. You should be in good physical condition to handle the daily hikes. The pace will be adjusted to suit the group’s abilities, but prior experience with multi-day hikes is recommended.
