Ajloun Governorate witnessed during the past 8 months of this year an active tourist movement, specifically to Ajloun Castle, the cable car, and Mar Elias, which is approved by the Vatican for Christian pilgrimage, where the number of visitors reached approximately 600 thousand visitors.
According to specialists and experts in tourism from the governorate’s residents, there are other sites in the governorate that witnessed a large presence and turnout of visitors, and the number of visitors to them exceeded the mentioned numbers several times, indicating that the areas of Ishtfina, Al-Sous, Ajloun Forest Reserve, Kufranja Dam, Wadi Al-Tawahin, Rajab Waterfalls, and other sites.
They pointed out that the Adna programme implemented by the Ministry of Tourism has contributed significantly to increasing the number of visitors to the governorate, which has become one of the most prominent destinations preferred by visitors for reasons related to the beautiful nature and the presence of the first cable car in the Kingdom, in addition to the presence of 13 tourist routes belonging to the Ministry of Tourism and the Ajloun Forest Reserve, which has unique features and constitutes rich tourist experiences, as well as the presence of guest houses along the tourist routes that provide unique tourist experiences through the efforts .
