Arrive at Queen Alia International Airport and meet your Jordan Horizons Tours representative for the private transfer to Amman. After check-in, settle into the rhythm of the journey and prepare your camera kit for the days ahead. If flight timing and energy allow, your first evening can be used for relaxed city views and an introduction to Amman’s layered hills, stone architecture and changing light.

Amman → Jerash → Downtown Amman & Citadel
Travel north to Jerash, one of Jordan’s outstanding archaeological cities, where long colonnades, monumental gateways, theaters and stone details create excellent opportunities for architectural compositions. Return to Amman for a contrasting afternoon among downtown streets, markets and local life, then continue to the Citadel area for elevated city perspectives and historic monuments.

Mount Nebo, Madaba, Karak & Dana – From Mosaics to Mountain Light
Amman → Mount Nebo → Madaba → Karak → Dana
Begin the southbound journey with the broad viewpoints of Mount Nebo, then continue to Madaba for historic mosaics and close-up detail work. Travel onward to Karak Castle, where heavy stone walls, passageways and fortress geometry invite dramatic compositions. Finish in Dana, one of the most photogenic mountain landscapes on the route, with time to photograph the village and layered valleys as the light softens.

After breakfast, continue toward Little Petra and begin the scenic approach into Petra from the back-door route. The walk reveals sandstone terrain gradually before the Monastery emerges in a memorable setting, creating a powerful photographic transition from wilderness to Nabataean architecture.

Petra – A Full Day for the Rose-Red City
Petra Archaeological Park
Dedicate the day to Petra with enough time to move beyond a quick sightseeing visit. Walk through the Siq toward the Treasury, then continue among tombs, façades, viewpoints and monumental spaces such as the Royal Tombs and Qasr Al-Bint area. The aim is to work the location from multiple angles and let changing light shape the color and texture of the sandstone.
