Visas Cost :

-Single Entry visas valid for one month: 40 JOD (approximately 56 USD)

-Double Entry visas valid for three months: 60 JOD (approximately 85 USD)

-Multiple Entry visas valid for six months: 120 JOD (approximately 170 USD)

Groups of five or more people arriving with a designated Jordanian tour operator are exempt from visa costs.

Certain nationalities require an entry visa to be obtained prior to travel. The below list is meant solely as a useful tool and the data within it is subject to change without prior notice. It is recommended that you check with the Jordanian diplomatic mission in your country prior to travel to ensure that you have all the necessary paperwork for travel.

Exit service fee applies for land and sea border points. 10.00 JD per passenger and 5.00 JD per vehicle.

Visa can be obtained upon arrival: Algeria, Cape Verde, Tunisia (age 18-35), Lesotho, Libya, Morocco, Malawi, Mauritius, Rwanda, São Tomé and Príncipe, Seychelles, South Africa, Tunis.

Visa can be obtained upon arrival:  Canada, Mexico, United States of America, Antigua and Barbuda, Bahamas, Barbados, Costa Rica, Dominica, Dominican Republic, Grenada, Guatemala, Haiti, Honduras, Jamaica, Nicaragua, Panama, El Salvador, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Saint Lucia, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines.

Visa must be obtained prior to arrival: Belize, Cuba.

 

Ocean Asia

Visa can be obtained upon arrival:  Federated States of Micronesia, Fiji, Marshall Islands, New Zealand, Samoa, Solomon Islands, Tonga, Tuvalu, Vanuatu.

Visa must be obtained prior to arrival:  Papua New Guinea.

 

Australia

Visa can be obtained upon arrival:  Australia

 

South America

Visa can be obtained upon arrival:  Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Ecuador, Guyana, Paraguay, Peru, Suriname, Uruguay, Trinidad and Tobago, Venezuela.

Visa must be obtained prior to arrival:  Colombia.

 

Jordan Visa FAQs

Do I have to have a visa to visit Jordan?

All visitors to Jordan are required to have a visa. The visa is granted upon arrival for guests from countries with no restrictions, or must be applied for in advance if you are from a restricted country. Exceptions apply for guests from restricted countries who are residents in the UAE. Please ask us for the latest information as the regulations are change regularly.

What are the costs for the Visa to Jordan?

Day trips or stays less than 2 nights : 40JD per person (approximately $60USD)

Stays of 2 or more consecutive nights with meet and assist service through a travel agency : Free Visa

Stays of 2 or more nights (no meet and assist) : 40JD per person (approximately $60USD)

Stays of 3 or more consecutive nights with Jordan Pass : Free

The visa has to be paid for in JOD. There are ATM’s and exchange offices at the borders and airports.

Can I get a visa on arrival if I’m an Indian national?

Indian nationals are no longer restricted and are granted a visa on arrival with the meet and assist service. We are able to provide you with a supporting letter to help the boarding process go smoothly for your incoming flight.

I’m transiting through Jordan for less than 24 hours, can I get a free Visa?

There is no free transit visa issued for Jordan. You will need to pay 40JD per person for the visa on arrival.

Can I get a visa on arrival if I’m from a restricted nationality but have a UAE residency?

The regulations for the visas on arrival for restricted nationalities with UAE residency change regularly. Please ask us for the latest information.

What is the Jordan Pass and should I purchase it?

The Jordan pass will save you money and time if you are staying in Jordan 3 or more consecutive nights and are visiting a number of sites. The Jordan pass includes entry to over 40 attractions in Jordan and the free visa if you purchase it before arrival to Jordan.

Do I have to pay the Jordan Departure Tax

Exit via land border crossing :

When you exit at one of the three land border crossings from Jordan into Israel you are required to pay the Jordanian departure tax.

The Jordanian Departure tax is 10JD or approximately $15USD per person at any of the three crossings.

Exit at Queen Alia International Airport (Amman) or King Hussein International Airport (Aqaba) :

The departure tax is included in your air ticket and there is nothing further to pay.

Meet & Assist Service Upon Arrival & Jordan Free Visa ( When Visa to Jordan is exempted? )

The Jordanian Government has waived visa fees for all non-restricted nationalities coming through Jordanian tour operators, whether travelling individually or in groups, and the meet and assist service is provided by the Jordanian tour operator. The visa fee is waived on the condition that the traveler/travelers spend a minimum of two consecutive nights in Jordan.

In order to qualify for the free visa you need to meet the following conditions:

  1. Stay at least 48 hours (2 consecutive nights in Jordan)
  2. Be a non restricted nationality and book a tour through a Jordanian tour agency whether travelling individually or in a group and include the meet and assist service

This means that the visa on arrival is free of charge and you only pay for meet and assist service which is $35USD for 1 – 4 guests, $50USD for 5-8 passengers. Please ask us about the rate for groups of more than 8 pax.

For us to provide you with the meet and assist service you must provide us with your full passport details in your booking form and your arrival and departure details from Jordan.

We will then prepare the visa manifest document which allows our representative to provide you with the free visa on arrival.

Using the meet and assist service saves you for example:

-01 Person pays  $ 60 for the visa , he/she saves with this service : $ 60 - $ 35 = $ 25 USD

-02 Person pay  $ 60 X 2 = $ 120 , They save with this service : $ 120 - $ 35 = $ 85 USD

-03 Person pay  $ 60 X 3 = $ 180 , They save with this service : $ 180 - $ 35 = $ 145 USD

-04 Person pay  $ 60 X 4 = $ 240 , They save with this service : $ 240- $ 35 = $ 205 USD

Meet and assist service with Visa upon arrival to Queen Alia International Airport (QAIA)

What are the fees/taxes to be paid at the Queen Alia Airport?

Jordanian Visa (if not included in your tour package or eligible for free visa/stays less than 2 nights) : 40JD or approximately $60USD. Must be paid in JOD.

Jordanian Departure Tax : Included in your air ticket.

My tour has the meet and assist service, how do I meet the representative?

Our Representative Details :The Operations Manager for the Meet and Assist Representatives at the Airport is Mohammed Jibreen. His mobile number is +962 7 9608 0444. He is available on whatsapp on this number. He will organise for someone to be waiting for you before Visa Control with a sign of your name.

How do I meet my driver at the airport?

If you tour has the meet and assist service the representative will take you to meet your driver. If you don’t have the meet and assist service the driver will be waiting for you with a sign with your name on it as you exit the arrivals.

Why do you need my passport details in the booking form?

If your tour includes the meet and assist service the representative will meet you with a sign with your name on it before immigration/customs. To offer this meet and assist service we prepare a visa manifest which must include the passport details for all guests.

If you don’t have the meet and assist service then it is ok to just provide us with your full name and nationality.

Meet and assist service with Visa upon arrival to Aqaba Airport (KING HUSSEIN INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT)

What are the fees/taxes to be paid at the King Hussein Airport (Aqaba Port) ?

Jordanian Visa (if not included in your tour package or eligible for free visa/stays less than 2 nights) : It will be free ASEZA Visa & latest infirmation must be up to date ) i.e : might costs  40JD or approximately $60USD. Must be paid in JOD.
